Zomato
Antfin Singapore Holding sold a little more than 2 percent stake in online food supply company Zomato for Rs 4771 crore through open market transactions. Antfin Singapore Holding PTE is a unit of Ant Financial Group. Ant Financial is controlled by Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba. According to data available about bulk deals on BSE, Antfin Singapore Holding sold 18,54,40,550 shares of Zomato in two installments, which is equivalent to 2.1 percent stake. The deal was done at an average price of Rs 257.17 to Rs 257.46 per share.
Cyient DLM
Promoter Cyient is expected to sell 14.5 per cent stake or 1.15 crore equity shares in Cyient DLM through a block deal on August 21. The deal size is expected to be Rs 860.9 crore with a floor price of Rs 748.65 per share. After the deal, Cyient’s stake in Cyient DLM will reduce from 66.66 per cent to 52.16 per cent.
Tata Steel
The UK government has released an initial fund of 13.5 million pounds to train or reskill employees affected by Tata Steel UK’s carbon reduction process. The British government’s Wales Office said in a statement that this financing from the Tata Steel / T Talbot Transition Board Fund will help local businesses that rely heavily on Tata Steel as their primary customer.
Tata Chemicals
Tata Group company Tata Chemicals has raised Rs 1700 crore by issuing non-convertible debentures (NCDs) to investors on a private placement basis. Tata Chemicals said in a notice to the stock market that an internal committee constituted by the board of directors has approved the proposal to allot 1,70,000 NCDs. The value of each of these NCDs is Rs 1 lakh.
Airtel, Vodafone Idea
Telecom operator Bharti Airtel added 12.52 lakh subscribers in June, while it added 12.50 lakh subscribers in the previous month. Its market share in terms of wireless subscribers was 33.23 percent by June 2024. On the other hand, Vodafone Idea lost 8.60 lakh subscribers in June 2024, while it lost 9.24 lakh users in May. Its market share in terms of wireless subscribers was 18.56 percent by June 2024.
Exide Industries
Exide Industries has invested Rs 75 crore in its subsidiary Exide Energy Solutions on rights basis. With this investment, the total investment made by the company in the subsidiary has become Rs 2,652.24 crore. There is no change in the shareholding percentage of the company in the subsidiary after this acquisition.
Hindustan Zinc
The board of directors of Vedanta Group company Hindustan Zinc Limited has approved the second interim dividend of Rs 19 per share for the current financial year. This amounts to about Rs 8028 crore. Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) said in a notice to BSE that the board of directors has considered and approved the second interim dividend of Rs 19 per share i.e. 950 per cent on the face value of Rs 2 per share for the financial year 2024-25.
