AUSFB
Private equity firm Westbridge Capital sold 1.5 per cent stake in AU Small Finance Bank for Rs 736 crore through open market transactions. According to bulk deal data available on BSE, Westbridge Capital sold 1,08,95,517 shares equivalent to 1.5 per cent stake in AU Small Finance Bank through its subsidiary Westbridge AIF One. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 676.06 per share, making the deal value Rs 736.60 crore.
Cipla
Pharmaceutical company Cipla informed that the company’s Vice Chairman MK Hamid has resigned from the post due to age and health. His resignation is effective from October 29. The company said that the board has also approved the appointment of Kamil Hamid as a non-executive director from November 1, 2024.
GE Power India
GE Power India announced an agreement with Navayug Engineering Company Limited (NECL). GE Power India informed BSE that under full and final settlement, NECL has agreed to pay an amount of Rs 31,45,26,287. Under this agreement, installments will be paid on a quarterly basis, the last installment will be received in 2026.
GIC
The Government of India will sell 6.78 per cent stake (including greenshoe option of 3.39 per cent) in GIC RE through an offer-for-sale (OFS) on September 4-5. The OFS will open for non-retail investors on September 4, while retail investors and employees can participate on September 5. The floor price has been fixed at Rs 395 per share.
National Highways Authority of India (NHPC)
The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Water Resources Department (WRD), Government of Maharashtra for installation of Energy Storage System (Pumped Storage System) along with other Renewable Energy Sources (like Solar/Wind/Hybrid) having a total capacity of 7350 MW.
TorrentPower
The company has signed a new MoU with the Water Resources Department of the Maharashtra Government to set up pumped storage projects with a total capacity of 5,600MW instead of 5,700MW.
Indian Energy Exchange
The electricity exchange recorded a total volume (including certificates) of 12,040 MUs in August 2024, up 35.8 per cent from the year-ago period. Electricity volumes grew 17.1 per cent year-on-year to 9,914 MUs, while renewable energy certificates (RECs) grew 737.4 per cent to 2,116 MUs.
