Tata Power
A fire broke out at Tata Power’s Trombay plant in Maharashtra. The company said in a notice to the stock exchange that the cause of the fire is currently being investigated and there is no report of anyone being injured or loss of life. Tata Power said that the fire broke out in the control room of unit number-5 (500 MW unit) of the Trombay plant. The company is assessing the actual damage caused by the fire.
Adani Green, Adani Energy
Adani Green Energy and Adani Energy Solutions have joined the ‘Utilities for Net Zero Alliance’ (UNEZA). Both the companies gave this information in a joint statement. UNEZA was established with the adoption of the UAE’s work declaration at COP28. This alliance unites leading global entities and power companies to advance the development of grids ready for renewable energy, promoting clean energy solutions.
Reliance Power
Reliance Power will seek shareholders’ approval to raise Rs 1524.60 crore through a preferential issue. According to the postal ballot notice, the company will raise up to Rs 1,524.60 crore through a preferential issue of 46.20 crore shares and/or warrants convertible into an equivalent number of shares of the company at a price of Rs 33 per share/warrant. E-voting began on Tuesday and will continue till October 23. The result of the postal ballot will be declared on or before Friday (October 25, 2024).
MCX
The company has changed the transaction fees on F&O contracts from October 1. In futures contracts, the fee will be Rs 2.10 per lakh turnover, while in options, the fee will be Rs 41.80 per lakh.
Delta Corp
The Board has approved the demerger of the Company’s hospitality and real estate businesses through a Composite Scheme of Arrangement. Delta Penland, a subsidiary of Delta Corp, is a newly incorporated company that will carry on the hospitality and real estate businesses. As per the share entitlement ratio, Delta Penland will allot one new equity share for every one equity share held by eligible shareholders in Delta Corp.
HDFC Life Insurance
The board will meet on September 27 to approve the commercial terms for the proposed issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs). In July, the board had approved raising funds by issuing NCDs up to Rs 2,000 crore in one or more tranches on a private placement basis.
