Tata Motors
Tata Motors’ total global sales grew 2 per cent to 3,29,847 units in the first quarter of the current financial year 2024-25. The company sold 3,22,159 vehicles in the first (April-June) quarter of FY 2023-24. Tata Motors said global wholesale sales of passenger vehicles in the first quarter declined by one per cent to 1,38,682 units as compared to a year ago. Jaguar Land Rover sales stood at 97,755 units in the April-June quarter, up 5 per cent over the same period last fiscal.
Paytm
Paytm’s stock will be in focus today. The stock rose sharply on Monday after Vijay Shekhar Sharma’s statement in which he expressed his intention to make it a $100 billion company. The stock of One97 Communications Limited, the operating company of the online payment platform Paytm, rose more than 8 percent on Monday, increasing its market capitalization by Rs 2,279.88 crore. The company’s stock rose 8.12 percent to Rs 472.05 on the BSE. Sharma had also said that he is trying to become better by learning the lessons learned in the case related to Paytm Payments Bank.
Godrej Industries
Godrej Group company RKN Enterprises sold shares worth Rs 3803 crore in Godrej Industries Limited to members of the Godrej Industries Group. This sale has been done under the Godrej family settlement agreement announced in April. According to data available about bulk deals on BSE, RKN Enterprises sold a total of 4,25,83,272 shares, which is equivalent to 12.65 percent stake in Godrej Industries. These shares were sold at an average price of Rs 893.05 per share.
Man Industries
Man Industries has received a pipe supply contract worth Rs 1,850 crore from an international oil and gas company. Man Industries said in a statement that under this contract, API 5L grade line pipes will be supplied for a foreign LNG project. The line pipes will be supplied in the next 12 to 18 months. Man Industries will also supply SAW pipes for this project. With this, the company’s order book will cross Rs 4,000 crore.
Nestle India
Shareholders of Nestle India Ltd have approved continuation of the current rate of 4.5 per cent as royalty payment to its Swiss parent at the company’s annual general meeting held on Monday.
Bajaj Finserv
Bajaj Finserv’s subsidiaries Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company announced their provisional figures for June. According to the provisional figures released by the company in its business update, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has recorded a gross direct premium of Rs 1234 crore for June. The total new business premium of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance in June was Rs 1082 crore.
Jio Financial
Charanjit Attra has resigned as Group Chief Operating Officer and will take over as MD and CEO of Jio Leasing Services from July 9.
