PNB
Public sector Punjab National Bank (PNB) has fixed the minimum price of Rs 109.16 per share for the sale of shares through qualified institutional placement (QIP). The bank had taken the approval of the board of directors last year to raise up to Rs 7500 crore through share sale in one or more installments during 2024-25.
Coal India
The state-run coal mining company has signed a joint venture agreement with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RRVUNL) to set up a 2×800 MW brownfield thermal power project at RRUVNL’s existing Kalisindh thermal power station. Coal India will hold 74 per cent stake in the joint venture, with RRVUNL holding the remaining 26 per cent.
Power Grid Corporation of India
The company has been declared the successful bidder and received a Letter of Intent for setting up Inter-State Transmission System in Gujarat. The project involves installation of STATCOM at Khavda Pooling Station 1 and Khavda Pooling Station 3 along with associated bay extension work in Gujarat.
Reliance Power
The board of directors of Reliance Power Limited has approved a proposal to raise Rs 1525 crore through a preferential issue. Under this, the promoters will invest Rs 600 crore in the company to further expand its business. This proposal comes a few days after Reliance Infrastructure, another company of the Anil Ambani-led group, approved a proposal to raise Rs 6,000 crore.
Senco Gold
A unit of Oman India Joint Investment Fund sold shares of retail jewellery sector leader Senko Gold for over Rs 75 crore through open market transactions. ICICI Prudential Life Insurance bought stake in Senko Gold. According to data available with BSE, Oman India Joint Investment Fund-2 sold 5.89 lakh shares or 0.76 per cent stake in Senko Gold. These shares were sold at an average price of Rs 1,280.16 per share, making the transaction value Rs 75.52 crore.
National Highways Authority of India (NHPC)
Public sector hydropower company NHPC has given an interim dividend of Rs 338.51 crore to the Government of India for the financial year 2023-24. The company said in a statement that apart from this, an interim dividend of Rs 947.82 crore for the financial year 2023-24 was given on March 5, 2024, which makes the total dividend for the entire financial year Rs 1286.33 crore.
Tata Power
Power distribution company Tata Power Delhi Distribution (Tata Power DDL) has received a patent for a device called ‘Self-Regenerating Transformer Breather’ that prolongs the life of a transformer. This device protects the power transformer from moisture and thus prolongs its life.
