HULL
FMCG company HUL’s profit in the June quarter increased by 2.7 percent on an annual basis to Rs 2538 crore. Whereas in the same quarter a year ago, the company had a profit of Rs 2472 crore. Revenue increased by 1.3 percent to Rs 15,339 crore, which was Rs 15,148 crore in the same quarter a year ago. EBITDA increased by about 2.4 percent to Rs 3606 crore. Margin increased from 23.2 percent to 23.5 percent.
Bajaj Finance
Bajaj Finance’s profit in the June quarter increased 14 percent year-on-year to Rs 3912 crore from Rs 3437 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Net interest income increased 25 percent to Rs 8365 crore from Rs 6717 crore in the same quarter a year ago. Gross NPA increased from 0.85 percent to 0.86 percent on quarterly basis. Net NPA also increased from 0.37 percent to 0.38 percent.
M&M Finance
Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services’ profit has increased by 45 percent to Rs 513 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. The profit of the non-banking financial company was Rs 353 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. The company’s net interest income increased by 15 percent to Rs 1,932 crore in the June quarter, while the interest margin fell to 6.6 percent from 7.1 percent in the same period of the previous quarter.
Torrent Pharma
Torrent Pharma’s profit in the April-June quarter of the current financial year has increased by 21 percent on an annual basis to Rs 457 crore. The company’s profit has increased due to strong performance in the domestic market. The drug manufacturer had a profit of Rs 378 crore in the April-June quarter of the last financial year. The company’s income stood at Rs 2,859 crore, which was Rs 2,591 crore in the same quarter last year.
South Indian Bank
The bank said that the board members will consider raising funds by issuing equity shares through preferential issue and/or qualified institutional placement (QIP) or any other mode on private placement basis or through FPO on July 30.
Tata Consumer Products
The FMCG company has set July 27 as the record date for its Rs 3,000 crore rights issue. The price of the rights issue has been fixed at Rs 818 per share. The rights issue will open on August 5 and close on August 19.
