Axis Bank
The FIU has imposed a fine of over Rs 1.66 crore on Axis Bank for failing to establish a mechanism to detect and report suspicious transactions made at one of its branches by opening a fraudulent account in the name of the anti-terrorism commando force NSG. The federal agency issued an order under Section 13 of the PMLA on June 3.
Paytm
IRDA -IRDAI has accepted the withdrawal of the application of its subsidiary for registration as a ‘general insurance company’. Paytm will now focus on insurance distribution instead of insurance manufacturing.
Nestle India
Nestle India will continue to pay royalty to its parent company at the current rate of 4.5 percent of net sales. The company’s shareholders have rejected the proposal to increase the royalty. Nestle India said in a statement that the board of directors of the company in its meeting approved the continuation of payment of general license fee (royalty) to Societe des Produits Nestle SA (licensor) at the current rate of 4.5 percent and recommended the same to the members of the company for their approval.
PTC India
SEBI passed an order in the PTC India Financial Services case, where it imposed a fine of Rs 25 lakh on Pawan Singh and barred him from holding the position of director in a listed company for 2 years.
Amber Enterprises
Amber Enterprises has acquired an additional 4.6 per cent stake in IL JIN Electronics. IL JIN Electronics is engaged in the manufacturing, assembling or dealing of printed circuit board assemblies.
GMR Airports and Infrastructure
NCLT has approved the merger of GMR Airports Limited and GMR Infra Developers Limited into GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited.
