Happiest Minds
The profit of IT company Happiest Minds Technologies declined by 15.2 percent to Rs 49.52 crore in the September quarter. In the same period a year ago, the company had achieved a profit of Rs 58.46 crore. The company’s operating income in this quarter was Rs 521.64 crore, which is 28.2 percent more than Rs 406.62 crore in the second quarter of the last financial year. There was a 2.9 percent decline in profit on quarterly basis, but there was a jump of 12.4 percent in revenue.
BLS International
The profit of BLS International Services, which provides visa processing and other services, has increased by 77.68 percent to Rs 145.7 crore in the September quarter. The company’s profit has increased mainly due to increase in income. The company said in the statement that its profit in July-September of the last financial year 2023-24 was Rs 82 crore. Operating income increased by 21.4 percent to Rs 495 crore in the quarter ending September 2024.
Reliance Power
The company has received a show cause notice from SECI for submitting fake bank guarantees. According to SECI, a subsidiary of the company allegedly gave a bank guarantee issued by the Manila branch of First Rand Bank.
Reliance Industries
Reliance’s deal with Disney has been completed. The company has invested Rs 11,500 crore in the joint venture. Reliance holds 16.34% stake in the joint venture, Viacom18 holds 46.82% stake and Disney holds 36.84% stake.
Sobha
Real estate company Sobha Limited’s profit in the September quarter has increased by 75 percent to Rs 26.08 crore. The total income of the company increased to Rs 965.29 crore, which was Rs 773.6 crore in the same period a year ago.
Adani Total Gas
GAIL India has announced a further 13 percent reduction in the allocation of APM gas to Adani Total Gas from November 16. This cut applies to the city gas distribution (CGD) industry and is expected to adversely impact the company’s profitability. The company will adjust retail prices for consumers to mitigate the impact of low allocation while continuing uninterrupted gas supply to its consumers.
