Stock Market Update Today:Today global signals are looking better for the domestic stock market. Buying is being seen in major Asian markets in today’s business. Earlier on Monday, American markets also closed strong. On Monday, Dow Jones Industrial gained 254 points and closed at the level of 38239.98. There was a rise of 169 points in NASDAQ Composite and it closed at the level of 15451.31. Whereas the S&P 500 index rose by 43 points and closed at the level of 5010.60.
Talking about Asia, there is a weakness of 0.28 percent in GIFT NIFTY, while there is a gain of 0.26 percent in Nikkei 225. A rise of 1.34 percent is seen in Strait Times and 1.45 percent rise in Hang Seng. Taiwan Weighted has gained 0.89 percent while Kospi has also strengthened by 0.07 percent. Shanghai Composite is showing a decline of 0.66 percent.

Stocks under F&O ban on NSE
NSE has added Hindustan Copper to the F&O ban list for April 23, while Biocon, Vodafone Idea, Piramal Enterprises, SAIL and Zee Entertainment Enterprises have been retained in the list. Balrampur Chini Mills, Bandhan Bank, Exide Industries and Metropolis Healthcare have been removed from this list. Ban securities under the F&O segment include those companies where the derivative contracts exceed 95 per cent of the market-wide position limit.
