Today Nifty has crossed 25500 again. While Sensex is giving a rise of about 300 points. Today, Bank, Financial, Auto, FMCG, IT, Metal, Pharma and Realty indices are trading in the green on Nifty. Currently, Sensex is seeing a rise of 282 points and it is trading at the level of 83466. While Nifty is trading at the level of 25,506, up 90 points. Today’s top gainers include JSWSTEEL, TATASTEEL, M&M, NTPC, HCLTECH, NESTLEIND. While top losers include TATAMOTORS, ULTRACEMCO, KOTAKBANK, AXISBANK.
Global signals are better
Global signals are looking good for the domestic stock market. Buying is being seen in major Asian markets in today’s trade. Earlier on Thursday, the US markets closed with gains. On Thursday, the Dow Jones Industrial rose by 522 points and closed at the level of 42025.19. The NASDAQ Composite rose by 441 points and closed at the level of 18013.98. While the S&P 500 index rose by about 95 points and closed at the level of 5713.64.
Talking about Asia, GIFT NIFTY is down by 0.20 percent while Nikkei 225 is up by 2.06 percent. Strait Times is down by 0.34 percent while Hang Seng has gained by about 1.42 percent. Taiwan Weighted is up by 0.71 percent while Kospi is up by about 0.81 percent. Shanghai Composite is down by 0.18 percent.

Market regulator SEBI has barred Axis Capital from taking up new assignments as a merchant banker until further notice. This action has been taken against Axis Capital in connection with the matter of providing guarantee for redemption of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) of Sojo Infotel. SEBI said in its interim order that Axis Capital provided guarantee for redemption of NCDs under the guise of underwriting (evaluation of financial information) which was not permitted under the existing regulatory framework. Such activities pose a risk to the financial system.
