While the S&P 500 index fell by about 33 points and closed at the level of 6051.25. Talking about Asia, there is a weakness of 0.38 percent in GIFT NIFTY and a decline of 1.24 percent in Nikkei 225. Strait Times has gained 0.22 percent while Hang Seng has weakened by about 1.47 percent. An increase of 0.21 percent is seen in Taiwa Weighted and 0.42 percent increase in Kospi. Whereas Shanghai Composite is showing a decline of 1.38 percent.

Stock in F&O ban
Today on December 13, 2024, the stock list under F&O ban on NSE includes Granules India, Hindustan Copper, Metropolis Healthcare, National Aluminum Company, PVR Inox and RBL Bank. According to NSE, securities in which derivative contracts exceed 95 percent of the market-wide position limit are kept in the ban period of the stock exchange.

According to the provisional data available on NSE, on December 12, 2024, foreign portfolio investors i.e. FIIs were net sellers and they sold shares worth Rs 3560.01 crore. Whereas domestic institutional investors were net buyers during this period and they bought shares worth Rs 2646.65 crore on December 12, 2024.
