Share Market Updates Today:Domestic shares witnessed a weakness of 344 points in Dow Jones Industrial on Monday and closed at the level of 42931.60. Global signals for the market look weak today. In today’s trading, selling is being seen in major Asian markets. On Monday, a decline was also seen in the American markets. There was a gain of 50 points in NASDAQ Composite and it closed at the level of 18540. Whereas the S&P 500 index weakened by about 11 points and closed at the level of 5853.98.
Talking about Asian markets, GIFT NIFTY is flat while Nikkei 225 is showing a decline of 1.45 percent. There is 0.11 percent weakness in Straits Times while Hangseng is absolutely flat. Taiwan Weighted has weakened by 0.58 percent, while Kospi sees a decline of 1.01 percent. Shanghai Composite is showing a rise of 0.06 percent.

According to the provisional data available on NSE, on October 21, 2024, foreign portfolio investors i.e. FIIs were net sellers and sold shares worth Rs 2261.83 crore. Whereas domestic institutional investors were net buyers during this period and they bought shares worth Rs 3225.91 crore on October 21, 2024.

Crude crosses $74 per barrel
