PFC’s profit increased, company will give dividend
The profit of public sector power company Power Finance Corporation (PFC) increased by more than 20 percent to Rs 7,182.06 crore in the June quarter of the current financial year. The company had earned a profit of Rs 5,982.14 crore in the same quarter a year ago. PFC’s total income increased to Rs 24,736.68 crore. It was Rs 21,017.81 crore in the same quarter last year. The board of directors of the company also approved the proposal to give an interim dividend of 32.50 percent i.e. Rs 3.25 per equity share on equity shares with face value of Rs 10 for the financial year 2024-25.

The company’s profit in the first (April-June) quarter of the financial year 2023-24 was Rs 571.94 crore. Operating income increased by 1.73 percent to Rs 5,123.96 crore, which was Rs 5,036.65 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.

Suzlon Energy will acquire 76 per cent stake in Renome Energy Services in two phases. The company will buy this stake from Sanjay Ghodawat Group for Rs 660 crore. A company statement said that in the first phase, 51 per cent stake will be acquired for Rs 400 crore. In the second phase, an additional 25 per cent stake will be acquired for Rs 260 crore within 18 months from the first phase acquisition. Renome is the largest multi-brand operation and maintenance service provider in the country.
