Global signals are weak

Global signals are looking weak for the domestic stock market today. Selling is being seen in major Asian markets in today’s trading. Earlier on Friday, the US markets also closed with a big decline. On Friday, the Dow Jones Industrial saw a decline of 377 points and it closed at the level of 40287.53. The NASDAQ Composite saw a decline of 144 points and it closed at the level of 17726.94. While the S&P 500 index fell by about 40 points and closed at the level of 5505.

Talking about Asia, GIFT NIFTY is seeing a decline of 0.43 percent, while Nikkei 225 is down by 1.19 percent. Strait Times is down by 0.10 percent, while Hangseng is seeing a rise of 0.69 percent. Taiwan Weighted is down by 2.51 percent, Kospi is down by 1.33 percent and Shanghai Composite is down by 0.70 percent.

It was Rs 1515.70 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. The total expenditure of the company also increased to Rs 1267.78 crore, which was Rs 1221.76 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

HDFC Bank’s profit has increased by 33.17 percent to Rs 16,474.85 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. The bank’s net interest income increased by 2.6 percent to Rs 29,840 crore. Non-interest income decreased by 41.3 percent to Rs 10,670 crore.

Kotak Mahindra Bank’s profit jumped 79 percent to Rs 7448 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. The management admitted that it was affected by the business restrictions imposed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) due to shortcomings on the technology front. The total income of the bank increased to Rs 15,675 crore, which was Rs 13,183 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year.
