Talking about Asia, there is a decline of 1.35 percent in GIFT NIFTY, while a weakness of 0.96 percent is seen in Nikkei 225. A weakness of 0.50 per cent is seen in Strait Times and 1.05 per cent in Hang Seng. Taiwan Weighted is showing a weakness of 1.43 percent while Kospi has weakened by about 1.58 percent. At the same time, 0.72 percent weakness is visible in Shanghai Composite.

US Federal Reserve: US Fed reduced rates
The US Federal Reserve has cut its benchmark interest rate by a quarter for the third consecutive time. The Federal Reserve on Wednesday announced a cut in interest rates by 25 basis points. Due to this cut, the benchmark policy rate of the US Central Bank has come in the range of 4.25% to 4.50%. According to the official statement, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) voted 11-1 in favor of the decision, while Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack dissented and supported keeping interest rates steady.
