Stock Market Updates Today :Global signals are looking better for the domestic stock market today. Buying is being seen in major Asian markets in today’s trade. Earlier on Monday, the US markets also closed with gains. On Monday, the Dow Jones Industrial rose by 68 points and closed at the level of 42124.65. The NASDAQ Composite rose by 26 points and closed at the level of 17974.27. While the S&P 500 index rose by about 16 points and closed at the level of 5718.57.
Talking about Asia, GIFT NIFTY is almost flat while Nikkei 225 is witnessing a gain of 0.66 percent. Strait Times is up 0.09 percent while Hang Seng is witnessing a gain of about 2.50 percent. Taiwan Weighted has weakened by 0.25 percent while Kospi is witnessing a gain of about 0.07 percent and Shanghai Composite is witnessing a gain of 1.48 percent.

According to provisional data available on NSE, on 23 September 2024, foreign portfolio investors i.e. FIIs were net buyers and bought shares worth Rs 404.42 crore. While during this period, domestic institutional investors i.e. DIIs were also net buyers and bought shares worth Rs 1022.64 crore.
