Share Market Updates Today:Global signals are looking better for the domestic stock market today. Buying is being seen in major Asian markets in today’s business. Whereas on Monday the American markets closed mixed. On Monday, Dow Jones Industrial saw a weakness of 26 points and it closed at the level of 42706.56. NASDAQ Composite had a gain of 243 points and closed at the level of 19864.98. Whereas the S&P 500 index gained 33 points and closed at the level of 5975.38.
Talking about Asia, GIFT NIFTY is showing a rise of 0.29 percent while Nikkei 225 is showing a rise of 2.38 percent. Strait Times has gained 0.25 percent while Hang Seng has weakened by about 1.69 percent. An increase of 0.96 percent is seen in Taiwan Weighted and 0.42 percent increase in Kospi. Whereas Shanghai Composite is showing a weakness of 0.42 percent.

Stock in F&O ban
Today, on January 7, 2025, Hindustan Copper has been included in the stock list under F&O ban on NSE. Whereas Manappuram Finance and RBL Bank have been retained in the list. No one has been removed from this list today. According to NSE, securities in which derivative contracts exceed 95 percent of the market-wide position limit are kept in the ban period of the stock exchange.

According to the provisional data available on NSE, on January 6, 2025, foreign portfolio investors i.e. FIIs were net sellers and they sold shares worth Rs 2575.06 crore. Whereas domestic institutional investors were net buyers during this period and they bought shares worth Rs 5749.65 crore on January 6, 2025.
