Stock Market Updates Today: Today global signals seem mixed for the domestic stock market. Buying is being seen in major Asian markets in today’s business. Earlier on Thursday, American markets had closed on the decline. On Thursday, Dow Jones Industrial fell by 185 points and closed at the level of 42011.59. There was a slight decline of 7 points in NASDAQ Composite and it closed at the level of 17918.48. Whereas the S&P 500 index fell by about 10 points and closed at the level of 5699.94.
Talking about Asian markets, there is a weakness of 0.35 percent in GIFT NIFTY, while a rise of 0.47 percent is seen in Nikkei 225. There is a rise of 0.20 percent in Straits Times while there is a rise of about 1.56 percent in Hang Seng. Taiwan Weighted is looking weak by 0.10 percent while Kospi is showing an increase of 0.54 percent.
Crude crosses $77 per barrel
The increasing tension between Israel and Iran has increased the prices of Brent crude. Crude is trading around $78 per barrel in the international market. While WTI crude is trading around $73.80 per barrel. A weekly growth of 8 percent has been seen in both. The dollar index is at 101.88, America’s 10-year bond yield is also slightly stronger at 3.84%.

According to the provisional data available on NSE, on October 3, 2024, foreign portfolio investors (FIIs) were net sellers and sold shares worth Rs 15243.27 crore. During this period, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers and bought shares worth Rs 12913.96 crore on October 3, 2024.
