Spain – France: schedule and where to watch the Nations League final

The Italian stadium of San Siro, in Milan, will be the scene of the final match of the League of Nations, to be held next Sunday. Starting at 8:45 p.m. on October 10, the teams of Spain and France will meet in the final of the European championship, which they have reached after being measured in the semifinals against Italy, in the case of La Roja, and against Belgium , in that of the Deschamps team.

Luis Enrique’s team qualified on October 6 after defeating the European champion (1-2) in the first semifinal with two goals from Ferran Torres, a great match in which Gavi and Yeremi Pino debuted. For their part, France had to wait until the second semi-final on Thursday, October 7 (2-3), in which they came back against Belgium with three goals in the second half, to guarantee qualification for Sunday’s final against Spain.

This latest victory for La Roja against Italy in the League of Nations guarantees the team to play the playoffs for the Qatar Soccer World Cup 2022 in the event that they do not get a direct pass in the qualifying phase. Spain’s access to the current final phase of the UEFA Nations League began almost a year ago, with the defeat of Germany (6-0) in November 2020.

The next UEFA Nations League champion team will emerge from Spain – France on October 10, a title currently held by Portugal since its June 2019 victory against the Netherlands. The match for third and fourth places will be played by the Italian and Belgian teams also tomorrow, starting at 3:00 p.m. and at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.

The consolation match and the grand final at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium in Milan (San Siro) can be seen on television on La 1, as well as on RTVE Play. The post-match with the delivery of trophies will continue from 10:35 p.m. on Teledeporte.
