South African President Cyril Ramaphosa called on world leaders to make every effort to resolve the Palestinian issue.
“As part of the international community, we are responsible for contributing to the search for a just, long-term and peaceful settlement of the Palestinian problem,” Ramaphosa said at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.
According to him, the Palestinians should have the right to determine their own destiny.
The President expressed confidence that until the liberation of the Palestinian lands, peace and justice in the Middle East will not be ensured.
In addition, the South African President drew attention to the topic of UN reform.
Ramaphosa stressed that the African contingent of 1.3 billion people is not fully represented in the world organization.
