Cinema halls which have been closed for almost six months are going to open from October 15. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) i.e. guidelines. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that only 50% people will be able to sit in the hall at one time. Use of mask and sanitizer is mandatory for everyone.
In a press conference, Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar told that only 50% of the people will be allowed to come to the cinema hall. All people will be seated leaving a seat, so that social distancing can be followed properly.
Before, between, and finally before the show, an awareness film related to Corona will be shown or announced.
The ministry said that such a distinction should be given between two shows in a cinema hall so that the entire hall can be sanitized. Apart from this, ventilation and AC temperature will also have to be taken care of in the cinema hall. According to government guidelines, the AC temperature in the theater should be between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius.
Instructions for the cinema hall:
- Empty seats will be marked.
- Advice for everyone to install the Arogya Setu App.
- Thermal screening will be done in all cinema halls. Those who do not have symptoms, only those allowed inside.
- Digital mode of payment should be promoted.
- Adequate counters should be made for tickets. Advance booking should be done to avoid congestion.
- Advice for people to come and go at the interval of the film.
- Only packed food will be allowed in the theater. Food will not be delivered inside the hall.
The government had issued instructions to open the cinema hall under Unlock 5.0. The ministry has said that these are central instructions. States and Union Territories can consider the proposal of additional measures according to the assessment of their area.
