Solidarity with Sidhu; Two ministers resign; CM calls emergency meeting

Amritsar: Two ministers have resigned after Navjot Singh Sidhu resigned as Punjab Congress president. Razia Sultana and Pargat Singh resigned. Punjab PCC treasurer Gulson Chahal has also resigned. The ministers resigned two days after Charanjit Singh was sworn in as government minister. It is reported that more ministers from the Sidhu faction are preparing to resign.

Razia Sultana said she resigned in solidarity with Sidhu. Sidhu is fighting for Punjab. Razia said he was a moral man. The Punjab Chief Minister has called an emergency cabinet meeting following Razia’s resignation.
