According to a video shared by zoo visitor Maria Diaz, the Asian elephant started making noises at the La Aurora Zoo in Guatemala City as soon as she saw the antelope in trouble. In the video, the agitated elephant can be seen trumpeting and moving its trunk in the direction of the disturbed antelope. The elephant’s noise caught the attention of the zookeeper, who then ran towards the water and jumped into the water to rescue the frightened deer.

In the clip, antelope horns can be seen at the top of the pool, as it struggles to keep swimming. The elephant, on the other hand, is seen pointing its trunk towards the animal and then turns back to the zookeeper. While the elephant keeps looking around for help, the antelope starts splashing in the water more quickly.
