New Delhi
Sachin Tendulkar will probably be the only cricketer who has made some record in his career almost every day of the year. Take 19 December (2010) itself. This day is very special for him, because on this day he scored half-century of Test centuries in South Africa. 37-year-old Sachin is the first and still the only cricketer in the world to do so in international cricket.

Tendulkar achieved this feat on the fourth day of the first Test against South Africa at Centurion’s Super Sport Park. He completed his century after facing 196 balls with the help of 12 fours and a six. He scored an unbeaten 111 in 241 balls with the help of 13 fours and 1 six, but could not stop Team India’s defeat. South Africa won the match by an innings and 25 runs.

Sachin dedicated this feat to his late father after scoring a half-century of centuries in the history of Test matches. Tendulkar had said, ‘I dedicate this century to my father. December 18 was his birth anniversary and I wanted to give him a gift in his honour. I thank all my well wishers who have supported me so far. Keep encouraging me, I will continue to perform like this.
