Roborock, a leading company in the robotic home cleaning sector, presented its vision for the future of smart home cleaning at CES 2025. The absolute protagonist is Saros Z70, the first mass-produced robot vacuum cleaner in the world equipped with an intelligent robotic arm, OmniGrip. This technology, combined with the new Saros 10 and Saros 10R models, marks a significant step forward in home automation. The main innovation lies in OmniGrip, the 5-axis robotic arm of the Z70. Thanks to this system, the robot does not simply detect obstacles, but grabs them and moves them, clearing the floor of objects such as socks, handkerchiefs and footwear weighing up to 300 grams. Interaction with the environment is managed by the robot’s artificial intelligence, which maps the environment, identifies objects and plans their movement. Everything can be controlled via the Roborock app, which allows you to customize the behavior of the OmniGrip and guarantee its safety through functions such as the child lock.
Saros Z70 uses the StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 navigation system, based on 3D Time-of-Flight sensors and an AI-enhanced RGB camera. This technology allows precise three-dimensional mapping of the home and the recognition of over 100 types of obstacles. VertiBeam technology further increases obstacle avoidance precision thanks to a vertical laser that analyzes surfaces in greater detail. In addition to advanced navigation, the Z70 offers powerful 22,000 Pa suction, a dual anti-tangle system and lift-out rotating mops for effective cleaning. The features are completed by the “Pet-Friendly” options for pet control and compatibility with the Multifunctional Dock 4.0, which offers mop washing with hot water, automatic removal of cloths and quick charging.
Roborock also introduces the Saros 10 and 10R models, both with an ultra-thin design. Saros 10 stands out for its RetractSense navigation system, which combines the traditional LDS module with a ToF sensor to avoid obstacles and prevent damage. The VibraRise 4.0 washing system and high suction power guarantee deep cleaning. Saros 10R instead uses the StarSight Autonomous System 2.0 for extremely precise 3D mapping and obstacle detection. Both models integrate VertiBeam technology and the AdaptiLift frame to overcome unevenness. Saros 10 is compatible with RockDock Ultra 2.0, while Saros 10R with Multifunctional Dock 4.0, both equipped with advanced features such as hot mop washing and fast charging.
