For 37 years now, the PKK terrorist organization has not abandoned its attempts to destabilize the situation and split Turkey.
According to the Anadolu agency, the first massacre perpetrated by the RKK militants took place on August 15, 1984, which marked the beginning of a series of bloody crimes of one of the most brutal and bloody organizations in the history of mankind. On that day, at around 21:30, militants committed bloody crimes in two regions of Turkey at once: Eruhe in Siirt province and Shemdinli in Hakkari province.
All these years PKK terrorists have been organizing armed attacks not only on government facilities and Turkish security forces, but also on civilians, not sparing children, women and the elderly.
Over the past decades, the RKK has killed more than 15 thousand residents of Turkey, including babies and women, and thousands were injured.
The creation of a terrorist organization was announced in 1978 in the village of Fis, Lice district, in the southeastern Turkish province of Diyarbakir.
The organizers of the bloody structure were soon identified, and they had to hastily flee from Turkey to Lebanon through Syria.
The leader of the RKK Abdullah Ocalan chose the capital of Syria – Damascus as his “headquarters”.
Many terrorists who could not escape abroad were captured during the military coup on September 12, 1980 in Turkey. During the same period, the terrorist organization moved its command and training center abroad.
At the 2nd “congress”, organized in Damascus from 20 to 25 August 1982, the terrorist organization decided to create an “independent state of Kurdistan” for which it focused on the armed struggle with Turkey.
On the night of August 15, 1984, bloody attacks were carried out on the gendarmerie and barracks of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Eruh region of Siirt province and the Shemdinli region of Hakkari province. Terrorists continued to commit bloody crimes in subsequent years.
After the RKK leader Abdullah Ocalan was captured and delivered to Turkey from Kenya, the RKK leaders gathered for the 7th “congress” in northern Iraq.
On January 23, 2000, in the Qandil region of Iraq, the cessation of hostilities against Turkey was announced and an emphasis was allegedly made on the political component. However, the crime of subsequent years was shown that the assurances of the leaders of the RKK are fiction
The terrorist organization continues to pose a serious threat to the security and national interests of Turkey.
One of the main sources of income for a terrorist organization is the drug trade. Every year terrorists receive up to $ 1.5 billion from drug trade and smuggling.
In recent years, serious progress has been made in the fight against this bloody organization. Thanks to the successful ground and air operations of the Turkish security forces both in the country and abroad, the ranks of the PKK are thinning day by day, and at the moment the bloody organization is on the verge of complete elimination.
