Press attachés of foreign diplomatic missions in Azerbaijan and representatives of accredited media once again visited the city of Shusha, liberated from the Armenian occupation.
The participants of the trip, together with representatives of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, arrived in the cultural capital of Azerbaijan along the Victory Road, the construction of which began immediately after the end of the 44-day war.
Diplomats and journalists were informed about the unique architectural appearance of Shushi, as well as about the national and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people.
Representatives of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spoke about the damage caused by the occupiers to the historical and cultural monuments of the republic.
The participants of the trip were able to personally get acquainted with the repair, restoration and restoration work in Shusha.
Representatives of the Muslim media performed a prayer in the mosques of Shushi.
The guests also visited the area of the city of Shusha, where busts of the leading figures of Azerbaijani poetry and music Khurshidbanu Natavan, Uzeyir Hajibeyli and Bulbul, who made an invaluable contribution to the cultural heritage of Azerbaijan, were installed.
The guests also got acquainted with the caravanserais related to the period of the Karabakh Khanate, which are an integral part of the history of Azerbaijan. In addition, the participants of the trip were able to observe the repair work in the Kazandzhi church on the spot.
In an interview with “Anadolu” agency, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Leyla Abdullayeva said that representatives of foreign missions were able to personally witness the consequences of the vandalism of Armenians during the occupation period, as well as to get acquainted with the restoration work in the Karabakh region of the republic.
