Report: One in 3 women face psychological, sexual and physical violence worldwide, domestic violence is not just a home but a global problem


There are many laws in India to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls, but there is still a need to make systematic efforts for full implementation of the relevant laws and policies. People believe that the importance of this law is like a milestone, because domestic violence is not just a family incident in China. It has also become a social matter.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is observed every year on 25 November. The day was established after the resolution was passed in the United Nations General Assembly on 17 December 1999.

It is also known as International Day to End Domestic Violence. This day is celebrated all over the world to raise awareness about the fact that women are subjected to various forms of violence and the true nature of the issue.

One in three women worldwide have experienced psychological, sexual and physical violence. The United Nations believes that violence against women is a violation of human rights and the reasons behind this are related to discrimination against women, including issues such as education, poverty, HIV and peace.
