PM Narendra Modi will be in Varanasi for about 30 hours. With the inauguration of Kashi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) on Monday, Shiv will see Deepawali and the next day on Tuesday, he will address the conference of Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Ministers Dr. Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya will be present as hosts in the entire program.

According to the schedule, the Prime Minister will do darshan and worship at the Kalbhairav ​​temple. From there you will reach Khirkiya Ghat. The Prime Minister is expected to meet some dignitaries of the city before leaving for the cruise on Monday evening to witness the wonderful spectacle of the ghats decorated with lamps. After night’s rest at Bareka Guest House, he will attend the Chief Ministers’ Conference at Bareka Auditorium on December 14. In different sessions here, the Chief Minister will make a presentation on the implementation of the schemes of the Central Government and the progress of the states. What is the history of Vishwanath Temple?

The Vishwanath temple was renovated in 1777 by Maharani Ahilyabai of the Maratha Empire, after the temple of Adi Vishweshwar was demolished in 1669 by the decree of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. After this, in the year 1835, Raja Ranjit Singh got the top of the temple decorated with gold, then Raja Ausanganj Trivikram Singh had offered silver doors to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
