Rockstar Games announced, in an official note, the Red Dead Redemption available on PC, along with its stand-alone zombie expansion, Undead Nightmare, starting October 29th.
Originally released in 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360, Red Dead Redemption has continued to receive praise for its deep narrative and open world, selling an impressive 23 million copies worldwide to date. In 2023, the game was re-released on PS4 and Switch, but now its arrival on PC opens up new possibilities for players to enjoy its adventures in an even more immersive way. The story revolves around John Marston, an outlaw seeking redemption as he explores a vast landscape filled with unforgettable characters and thrilling challenges.
The new adaptation of Red Dead Redemption, developed in collaboration with Double Eleven, it offers numerous improvements specific to the PC experience. One of the most interesting new features is the native support for 4K resolution up to 144Hz on compatible hardware, support for Ultrawide (21:9) and Super Ultrawide (32:9) monitors, plus support for HDR10 and full keyboard and mouse functionality. Additionally, the PC version includes support for upscaling technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 3.7 and AMD FSR 3.0as well as adjustable settings for draw distance and shadow quality, which promises a smoother, more immersive gaming experience and quality graphics rendering.
