Video of the incident In a video circulated on social media, the woman can be seen waiting in the rain for children participating in the rally. When the rally reaches, the woman crosses the road, takes out a garland of notes and puts it around the neck of a child present in the procession and kisses his cheek.

The woman later told a television channel that she later learned that the child belonged to her neighbor. According to the woman, she grew up in an environment of religious harmony and her wish was to garland someone with currency notes in the procession in Kodur town of the district.
