Ranchan ISL giants on stage to field 2 Blasters superstars; Carefully yellow

News is coming out that Kerala Blasters FC fans are on fire. Kerala Blasters’ Malayalee superstars Sahal Abdul Samad and Rahul KP in Indian Super League (ISL) football. It is reported that there are two clubs in Ranchan. There are also indications that Spanish player Alvaro Vasquez, who was the goal hero of the 2021 – 2022 season, will not extend his contract. Leading football journalist Ashish Negi has revealed this. Ashish Negi says that two ISL clubs have been investigating the transfer possibility of Sahal and Rahul, but no further details are known. The fans of the team are worried whether the clubs who watched the two players whose contract terms with Kerala Blasters expire will expire and acquire them by throwing in the towel.

Rahul has a contract till 2025

Rahul KP from Thrissur has a contract with Kerala Blasters FC till May 31, 2025. So there is no need to stay at the club until 2025. If the clubs that are watching Rahul offer huge sums, the Blasters may have a chance to give up. However, Sahal and Rahul will be crucial in head coach Ivan Vukomanovic’s planning for the 2022-2023 season. So the Blasters may not give in even if Mohawila is offered.

Rahul KP injured in first match of 2021-2022 season He returned to the field after months of rest. Rahul has played only seven matches in total. He scored one goal and assisted on two goals. Rahul’s goal was in the final against Hyderabad FC. Rahul has scored five goals in 35 appearances for the Kerala Blasters, assisting on two goals. The 22-year-old Rahul made his debut in the Blasters in the 2019-2020 season.

Sahal’s contract until 2025


Sahal Abdul Samad, a native of Kannur, has a contract with Kerala Blasters until 2025. Sahal Abdul Samad was the spearhead of Ivan Vukomanovic’s counter – coaching during the 2021-2022 season. Sahal missed the second semi-final and final due to injury. Fans believe that if Sahal had been in the final with him, the outcome of the match would have probably changed.

Sahal, 24, made his ISL debut for the Kerala Blasters in the 2017-2018 season. He scored six goals and one assist in the 2021 – 2022 season. 2021 – 2022 was Sahal’s brightest season in ISL history. He played a total of 74 matches for the Kerala Blasters, scoring seven goals and assisting on seven goals.

Vazquez may not continue

After the Ranchan clubs are trying to oust Sahal and Rahul, another piece of news is coming out which is not comfortable for the Kerala Blasters fans. Spanish striker Alvaro Vazquez, who was a mainstay of the Kerala Blasters’ attack during the 2021-2022 season, is reportedly out of the club. Alvaro Vazquez has a contract with Kerala Blasters until May 31, 2022. In other words, Vasquez’s current contract is valid for two more months.

There was a demand among fans to retain foreign players for the 2021 – 2022 season, including Vazquez. Vazquez joined the Blasters in 2021 from Spanish club Subadell. He scored eight goals in 23 games for the Yellows and assisted on two goals.

Outside Chencho Blasters

Chencho, who was the Bhutanese striker for the Kerala Blasters in the 2021-2022 season, has left the club at the end of his contract. Chencho is sure not to be in the Blasters next season. Chencho left the Blasters after failing to renew his contract with the club. Chencho arrived in the Blasters in the 2021 season through the Asian Football Confederation quota.

Chencho made 18 appearances in the ISL 2021 – 2022 season, but only made two appearances in the starting XI. Chencho wore the Blazers jersey for a total of 19 games, including the Durant Cup. Not a single goal was scored and one goal was assisted.

Luna and Leskovich renew contract

The Kerala Blasters are sure to have only two foreign players in the current season. Uruguay playmaker Adrian Luna and Croatian center defender Marco Leskovic. Adrian Luna joined Kerala Blasters on July 22, 2021 on a two year contract. The Blazers extended their contract with Luna for two more seasons. That means Luna will remain in the Blasters until 2025.

The Blazers have also reportedly renewed their contract with Marco Leskovic. Lesco’s contract was reportedly renewed before the end of the season. Marco Leskovic was the last foreign player to be acquired by the Kerala Blasters in the 2021 – 2022 season. It is noteworthy that Leskovic is playing with the Kerala Blasters outside Croatia.

Skinkis, Ivan will continue

Serbia’s Ivan Vukomanovic has been confirmed as the new head coach of the Kerala Blazers. It is reported that Carolis Skinkis will continue as the Director of Sporting. Ashish Negi has hinted that Blasters will sign a new deal with Skinkis. If so, the Kalolis Skinkis-Ivan Vukomanovic duo could continue to bolster the Blasters for the 2022-2023 season.

In the year 2020, Carolis Skinkis from Lithuania joined Kerala Blasters as the Sporting Director. Ivan Vukomanovic is the coach who brought Skinkis to the Blasters after Kibu Vikuna. Ivan earned the reputation of being the best coach in Blasters history in his first season.

The Kerala Blasters are all set to travel to the Middle East for pre – season preparations for the Indian Super League 2022-2023. The move to shift the pre-season to the Gulf is taking into account the fan base and affiliations of the Kerala Blasters. Ashish Negi has reported that the Blazers’ pre-season warm-up will be mostly in the Middle East if given the chance. Like last season, the Kerala Blasters are trying to play in the Durant Cup next season as part of the pre – season.
