Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement in Parliament on Thursday on the India-China border dispute.
While giving a statement about the ongoing dispute with China, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in Parliament that we will not allow anyone to take even an inch of our place. Rajnath announced that an agreement has been reached in both countries regarding the North and South Bank of Pengong and the forces will retreat. China will keep its forces only after Pangong’s Finger 8.
For disengagement in friction areas, India is of the opinion that the forward deployments of 2020 which are very close to each other should go away and both the armies should return to their permanent and valid posts.
The Defense Minister further said that our strategy and approach for talks is based on the guideline of Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi that we will not let anyone take our one inch of land. The result of our determination is that we have reached the status of agreement.
Since September 2020, there has been frequent discussion on both the military and diplomatic level on both sides to find a way to mutually accept this disorder. So far, 9 rounds of talks have been held at the level of senior commander.
