Rahul, Mamta or anyone else against PM Modi… Who in the opposition should decide with whom first?

New Delhi
The next Lok Sabha election is to be held in 2024. For this the opposition is trying to mobilize. However, it is not yet decided who will lead it. A fight has definitely started regarding this. To overthrow the Modi government, Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee is filling the most power. She is trying her best to bring the opposition parties under one banner.

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has been considered the natural candidate to lead the opposition. It is another matter that Mamta has bluntly said that only Trinamool Congress (TMC) can give a fight to BJP. Nothing will happen to Congress.

At the same time, Rahul Gandhi along with sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is trying hard to shake Modi’s power. From inflation, GST, withdrawal of agricultural laws to privatization, he has surrounded the Modi government on every issue. Even in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, the Congress has been seen as the most aggressive so far.

Apart from Congress and TMC, the third party that has the potential to compete with the BJP is AAP (Aam Aadmi Party). Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is slowly making his mark on the national stage. The party is looking at opportunities for itself in UP, Uttarakhand, Goa, Gujarat and Punjab next year. The party is likely to get benefits in all these states.

Rahul, Mamta or Kejriwal…
The big question is who will lead the opposition? Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal or anyone else? Will the leadership of one of these three accept the other? That is, will Mamta Rahul or Rahul be ready to enter the election match under the captaincy of Mamta or Mamta-Rahul Kejriwal? To be honest, there is a lot of math and math in these three names. The same cannot be said about whether anyone else has the aspiration to lead the opposition. However, it is absolutely true that it is impossible for all the opposition parties to come under the umbrella of any one of these three.

Mamata has no hope from Congress
Mamata Banerjee’s morale is in seventh heaven after defeating the BJP in Bengal. She wants to take Trinamool Congress to the national level. The victory in Bhawanipur by-election with record-breaking votes has also filled him with confidence. Recently, Mamta wrote an article in the party’s mouthpiece ‘Jago Bangla’. In this, he has clearly said that it is not a matter of Congress’s bus to remove BJP from power. Only Trinamool Congress can do this work. He also said that Congress has broken people’s trust in two Lok Sabha elections. She has proved to be a complete failure in fighting against the BJP. This has now been proved. The whole country has now put hope from TMC.

Mamta made many claims
Mamta had claimed in this article that people are upset with the BJP. They are getting calls from different states. They all want Bengal to take the front of the fight for New India. With all these things Mamta has made her intentions clear. She herself wants to lead the opposition parties in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Given the kind of flamboyant leader he is, he would hardly accept the leadership of Rahul or any other leader. Mamta also visited Delhi in July after registering a massive victory in Bengal. Its purpose was to mobilize anti-BJP parties. He had met many leaders including CM Kejriwal.

with rahul Shiv Sena
Didi may be planning to lead the opposition alliance in the next Lok Sabha elections, but the situation on the ground is completely different. The stance of Shiv Sena gives its hallmark. In his weekly column in party mouthpiece Saamana, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has termed parties like TMC and AAP as spoilers of the game. Raut has described Rahul Gandhi as the only option for this in the midst of a tussle over the issue of leadership of the opposition. Presently Shiv Sena is running the government in Maharashtra along with Congress and NCP. Raut indicated that if parties like TMC and AAP do not become a part of the Congress alliance, it will benefit the BJP. This will ruin the entire electoral arithmetic.
