In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi won both Wayanad in Kerala and Rae Bareli in UP by a huge margin of votes. The Congress leader’s main contest on the Wayanad seat was with CPI’s Annie Raja and BJP’s K Surendran. Rahul won here by a margin of 3.6 lakh votes. Rahul got a total of 6.4 lakh votes, while Annie Raja, who came second, got 2.8 lakh votes. Rahul also won the Rae Bareli seat in UP by a margin of 3.9 lakh votes. On this seat, he was pitted against BJP’s Dinesh Pratap Singh. While Rahul got 6.8 lakh votes, Dinesh got 2.9 lakh votes.
