The scale of natural disasters in some constituent entities of the Russian Federation is currently unprecedented. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday at a meeting on the elimination of the consequences of flooding and wildfires in a number of regions of Russia, reports TASS.
“First of all, we will talk about natural fires in Yakutia, as well as about flooding of settlements in the Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. We see, we understand, the scale and nature of natural disasters in some areas is absolutely unprecedented. For example, in the south, sometimes the monthly precipitation falls now in a few hours. In Siberia, in the Far East, natural, climatic, atmospheric conditions have developed so that forest fires in drought conditions, gusts of wind spread rapidly, “” Putin said.
The President set the task to minimize damage to the animal world when fighting forest fires.
Putin demanded, if necessary, to immediately send children, women and other residents from natural disaster zones to safe places.
