Punjab News: Channi government’s big announcement before elections in Punjab – electricity bill of 2 kW will be waived

Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi has made a big announcement before the upcoming assembly elections. He has announced to fill the outstanding electricity bill of 2 kW consumers in the state. Channi said 53 lakh families would benefit from this decision. Electricity problem is a big issue in Punjab and Aam Aadmi Party has also announced about it.

After the Punjab cabinet meeting, Channi said, ‘I am roaming in Punjab and taking the opinion of the people. I will work towards removing every difficulty of the people of Punjab. I will do all the work of interest. Will give relief on electricity bills. Two rounds of meeting have been held regarding electricity bill.

Channi said, ‘Electricity connections of 55 thousand to one lakh houses have been cut. 75 to 80 per cent of the consumers are in the 2 per cent range. The government will pay the outstanding bill of 2 kW defaulter consumers. There are 53 lakh such families, who are unable to pay the outstanding bills. These families will benefit.

CM Channi said, ‘Our government is working towards solving the power problem in Punjab. The connection of the people has been cut, their connection will be restored again. The government will have a burden of Rs 1200 crore. The government will pay the electricity bill till August.

CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that sand mafia will end soon in Punjab. He said that our government is coming up with a new policy regarding this. Channi said that as soon as the new policy comes, the sand mafia will be completely rejected.

Simultaneously, Charanjit Singh Channi also answered questions about Sidhu’s displeasure. He has said that the questions raised by Navjot Singh Sidhu will be discussed together. Channi said that he had spoken to Sidhu over phone and the matter would be resolved soon.
