Prithvi Shah opened the batting for Northamptonshire who batted first in the Royal London One Day Cup Group B match. The 23-year-old scored 244 runs off just 153 balls in the match. 28 fours and 11 sixes came from his bat. Shah completed his century from just 81 balls. Riding on Shaw’s double century, Northampton Sherawatte scored a Himalayan total of 415/8 in the game.
With his double century, Prithvi Shah became the second Indian batsman to score more than 150 runs in the Royal London Cup. Senior batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is the first Indian batsman to achieve this feat. Shah completed 150 runs in just 103 balls. With this innings, Prithvi Shah was able to end his two-year century drought in List A cricket. The player reached his double century in 129 balls.
