Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with his cabinet colleagues and other MPs, paid tribute to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose on his birth anniversary in the Constitution House today on the occasion of Parakram Diwas. The Prime Minister also interacted with the school students present there.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on the occasion of ‘Parakram Diwas Program 2025’, “Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, the entire country is remembering him. I salute Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. This year’s Bravery Day is being celebrated in a grand manner at the birthplace of Netaji. I congratulate the people and government of Odisha. A huge exhibition related to the life of Netaji has been organized in Cuttack. In which many heritages related to his life have been preserved together.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said, “Today when our country is engaged in fulfilling the resolve of a developed India, we get inspiration from the life of Netaji. The biggest goal of his life was Azad Hind… Netaji formed Azad Hind Fauj for the independence of the country. There were brave and courageous women from every region of the country. Everyone’s languages were different but the feeling was the same – independence of the country. This feeling is a big lesson today. Then we had to be united for Swaraj, today we have to be united for developed India… The world is looking towards India to see how we make this 21st century India’s century. We have to keep the country united with the inspiration of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose…”
He further said in his address, Netaji was very proud of India’s heritage… Today India is coming out of the mentality of slavery, is developing with pride in its heritage. Taking inspiration from Netaji’s legacy, our government built a museum dedicated to Netaji at the Red Fort in Delhi in 2019, and launched the Subhash Chandra Bose Disaster Management Awards in the same year. In 2021, the government decided that Netaji’s birth anniversary will be celebrated as Parakram Diwas.
