Sheet New York Post On January 27, the staff at a noodle shop in San Jose (California, USA) had just stopped a “kidnapping” crop against a robot worth 18,000 USD (more than 450 million VND).
Images from security cameras at Pho 21 store record a man coming to the store at about 7:40 on January 19, just 20 minutes before the opening time. This man asked to use the toilet and disappear on the screen.
After that, this person came out and tried to carry one of the three robots of the shop, when he hugged the robot like an object, before carrying out. Under the weight of the robot, “kidnappers” walked out to the door.
A noodle shop employee discovered and tried to prevent the strange action of a strange man. When going out, this person pulled the robot on the sidewalk and threw it into the back of his car.
The robot was in the trunk of the car for about 10 seconds, before the other staff of the noodle shop arrived and braced. They called the police, after causing the man to give up.
According to ABC 7 News quoted Mr. Tony Ngo, the owner of Pho 21, a robot worth 18,000 USD but will be useless in the hands of the thief, due to special programming and cannot be used outside the store.
The news reported that no people or robots were injured in the incident. The robot then returns to serve the pho according to programming, while the identity is unknown as well as the handling of the authorities for the incident.
The robot is growing rapidly and seems to be appearing in all areas, while no one knows what they can do in just a few years.
Researchers are trying to create artificial intelligence robots (AI) that can express emotions and replace some important roles of man.
