President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov on Saturday, July 10, voted outside the premises in the repeated elections of deputies of the Bishkek City Kenesh, the press service of the head of state said.
The precinct election commission organized an off-site voting due to the fact that one of the head of state’s personal security officers was diagnosed with a coronavirus infection the day before.
“The president himself had a negative PCR test for the presence of coronavirus, but according to the recommendations of epidemiologists, Sadyr Japarov, as a direct contact person, should observe a self-isolation regime so as not to endanger the health of others,” the message says.
The head of state called on the citizens of the country to fulfill their civic duty by voting in the repeated elections of deputies of city keneshes.
Zhaparov noted that participation in the elections is an indicator of a responsible civic position, concern for the future of the country.
Repeated elections of deputies of Bishkek, Osh and Tokmok city councils will be held on July 11, 2021.
