Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received representatives of the Muslim community in the United States.
The reception was held in private at The Manhattan Center in New York.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on a visit to the United States on September 19-22 to participate in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. On Monday, September 20, Erdogan will attend the opening ceremony of the Turkish House in New York.
The Turkish head of state will address the participants of the event on September 21, on the first day of the 76th session of the General Assembly. The session of the General Assembly is dedicated to such topics as preventing the COVID-19 pandemic, restoring resilience, responding to the needs of the planet, respecting human rights and reviving the UN.
On the sidelines of the session, the Turkish leader will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of a number of countries, as well as with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.
Erdogan will take part in the conference “A fairer world is possible”, organized by the Turkish-American National Coordinating Committee, will meet with representatives of the Turkish and Muslim communities, and will give interviews to the American media.
President Erdogan is also expected to attend the traditional gala dinner of the 11th Investment Conference of Turkey with the participation of representatives of the US business world.
