PM Modi seeks details on terrorist attack in Srinagar, 2 soldiers martyred

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought information on the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. He also expressed condolences to the families of the martyred security personnel. Two policemen were killed and 12 others were injured in a deadly attack by terrorists on a bus carrying Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police personnel on the outskirts of Srinagar on Monday on the 20th anniversary of the Parliament attack, officials said.

Police officials said that the bus was attacked by terrorists at Jewan in Pantha Chowk on Monday evening. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a tweet that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought details regarding the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. He also expressed condolences to the families of the security personnel who were martyred in the attack.

The incident took place in Jewan on the outskirts of Srinagar. On receiving information about the matter, the security forces have cordoned off the entire area. Search operation has been started against the terrorists. The police officer said the area has been cordoned off and a massive search has been launched to nab the attackers.
