PM-JAY For Senior Citizens:Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is an important initiative for senior citizens and weaker sections of the society. Under this scheme, elderly people above 70 years of age get free health insurance up to Rs 5 lakh annually, irrespective of their income. Let us understand how enrollment can be done in this scheme.

Download Ayushman Bharat App
The elderly or their family members can download the Ayushman Bharat app from Google Play Store or the official website. After installing the app, users can start the further process by selecting their preferred language.

Login for Enrollment
Click on the option of ‘Login as beneficiary’ on the application. For this enter ‘captcha’ and mobile number. Login by entering the OTP sent to the mobile number. After login, go to the senior citizens’ enrollment option present at the bottom of the home screen.

Verify Aadhaar Number
After filling the Aadhaar number, verify it through OTP sent on the registered mobile number. After this fill your residential address and state information. After filling the captcha, the search option will be activated, which will check whether the elderly are already registered in the scheme or not. If registration has not been done, new enrollment will have to be done.

Fill in the requested information
For enrolment, the elderly will have to fill information like their mobile number, city, state, address, ward details and pin code. After filling all this information the application has to be submitted.
Get card by submitting application
After filling all the information, submit the application for approval. After approval, Ayushman card will be issued to the elderly, through which they can avail the health benefits available under the scheme.
