4. In what type of companies will you get internship?

5. Internship Duration and Financial Support
Under the Prime Minister Internship Scheme, the duration of internship will be 12 months i.e. one year. In addition, each intern will receive the following financial assistance:
– Monthly assistance: A stipend of Rs 5000 every month, of which Rs 500 will be given by the company and Rs 4500 by the government.
– Lump sum grant: After joining the internship, a one-time amount of Rs 6000 will also be given by the government through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Insurance coverage will also be provided by the government to each intern under “Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana” and “Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana”. Apart from this, companies may also provide additional accidental insurance cover.
