The PKK/YPG, which has been occupying Syria’s Tel Rifat district, which is 18 kilometers away from the Turkish border, for more than 6 years, continues to target civilian settlements.
Terrorists nesting in Tel Rifat launched two rocket attacks on the briquette houses where the displaced took shelter in the village of Terende, southeast of Afrin, which is under the control of military opposition.
According to information received from civil defense sources, 3 children and 6 civilians were injured in the attack.
6 injured civilians were transferred to hospitals in the surrounding area.
LATEST SITUATION IN TEL RIFAT
PKK/YPG terrorists had captured Tel Rifat and some settlements around it in February 2016 with the air support of Russia.
The terrorist organization displaced approximately 250 thousand civilians from Tel Rifat and its environs, and the said population sought refuge in areas close to the Turkish border.
From here, the PKK/YPG is attacking the Turkish security forces providing security and the positions of the opposition fighters, as well as the settlements in the Operation Euphrates Shield and Operation Olive Branch region.
