Pfizer, Moderna increase the price of Covid-19 vaccines to Europe by 25%

The Financial Times, citing the contract between these two pharmaceutical companies with the EU, said the latest price for a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from Pfizer was about $23 – an increase of about $5 compared to the previous price.

Even so, the unified price in the Moderna contract is still lower than the $28.5 previously predicted, because the EU buys in larger quantities.

Unlike AstraZeneca, which sells the Covid-19 vaccine at the original price, Pfizer and Moderna have made a lot of money selling vaccines.
Pfizer forecasts $33.5 billion in revenue in 2021 from Covid-19 vaccines alone. Revenue is forecast to increase $7.5 billion from last quarter’s forecast. Moderna forecasts $19.2 billion in revenue from Covid-19 vaccines in 2021.
