Russia and Qatar signed more than 65 agreements in various fields, within the framework of the Petersburg International Economic Forum, held from June 2-5.
This came according to what was stated by the Qatari Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari in one of the dialogue sessions held within the framework of the forum’s work.
According to the Qatari minister, agreements were signed in various fields, including technology, finance, sports, infrastructure and agriculture.
The Qatari minister indicated that the volume of Qatari investments in the Russian economy has so far reached the level of $15 billion (investments accumulated over the past years). “In terms of investments, Qatar is Russia’s largest international partner,” he said.
And the Petersburg International Economic Forum, which will be held in person (face to face), began last Wednesday, taking into account health prevention measures, and using modern digital technologies.
The State of Qatar is participating in the forum as a guest of honor, and the number of participants in the forum this year is about 5,000 thousand.
