Apart from the Kerala Police, the Karnataka Police, the Central IB and the National Investigation Agency are investigating the matter. Investigative agencies are taking the incident of phone calls from an organization operating illegally to military bases very seriously. They had called top officials at the military bases, saying they were from the Ministry of Defense. The team, which speaks Hindi and English, will indicate the name and rank of the officers. In addition to the key numbers, the team has also called the officers’ extension numbers.
The matter was first discovered by the Military Intelligence Unit in Kashmir. The phone call to the military base was found to be from Bangalore and then Military Intelligence arrested Ibrahim from Bangalore.
