Pocketpair has announced the release of “Feybreak”, a major update for Palworld, the open-world survival, crafting and monster collecting game. The update introduces a new island, new features, areas, Pals and more, while also teasing the upcoming collaboration with Terraria. Feybreak, the mysterious island added with this update, offers numerous challenges, glowing sands, and a variety of new Pals to discover. Players will face the Feybreak Warriors, a new faction that controls the island with the power of their missile battery camp. Among the innovations introduced by Feybreak include new resources such as Chromite and Hesalite Quartz, obtainable through the exploration of the island and the use of Pal with specific skills. Furthermore, new game mechanics have been implemented, such as Expeditions, which allow you to send Pals on missions to obtain supplies, and Research, which allows you to unlock permanent upgrades for the base’s productivity.
The update also introduces Pal Marauders, dangerous creatures that offer rare resources to those who manage to defeat them. Additionally, there are new “Bounty” NPCs that offer rewards for capturing criminals scattered across the Palpagos Islands. Other additions include new Fortresses, including a large oil rig guarded by a powerful attack helicopter, and a new Raid against the Xenolord, a dark mechanical dragon. The maximum player level has been increased to 60, unlocking new technologies and challenges. New items have been added, such as the Metal Detector, Bags to increase inventory, Double Jump Boots and Air Dash Boots, as well as new cooking recipes and a Resurrection Potion for Pals.
For more experienced players, Hardcore Mode has been introduced, with permanent death for player and Pal. Random Pal Mode has also been added, which randomizes the appearance of Pals in the game world. The update includes a wide range of new weapons, new base buildings such as the Large-Scale Electric Incubator and Flea Market, and new unique abilities for the Pals. Player animations, user interface and base management have been improved. Finally, “Feybreak” introduces holiday skins for Pals, new soundtrack music, and numerous bug fixes. The update is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store, and also accessible via Game Pass.
